The main target of the demand fulfillment process is to generate fast and reliable order promises to the customer and shield production and purchasing against infeasibility. The quality of the order promises is measured by the on-time delivery. For that, the business function ( Available to Promise (ATP)) is responsible to provide the customers and internal departments with the available quantities of the requested product and the corresponding due dates for them to expect delivery.
